Not far from the villa you can visit the splendid landscape with the famous wineries and the many wine cellars, from the technological and world-famous to the smaller family businesses, which still offer tastes with the former characteristics of the territory. In addition to the Bolgheri wine, are also the oils well-known, and it is preferable to move towards Bibbona, where there is also a wonderful and technological oil production. The period of many scents is certainly september and october, when nature brings forth the aromas of ripe grapes and olive trees. One can perceive the essence of the extra pure pulp of its wonderful olives.
The characteristic village of Bolgheri is worth a visit, as well as its wonderful nature reserve, which overlooks the Tyrrhenian Sea and is characterized by extensive green pine forests, which is marked by the blue of the sea with beautiful landscapes. Here we are in the heart of the Maremma Livornese, in the center of the so-called Costa degli Etruschi.
Also worth a visit is the town of Castagneto Carducci, famous for its coastal amenities and blue flag beaches. Another important resource is the wine and food sector with the production of very good wines, which have made the wine cellars of the region world famous. The surroundings of Castagneto Carducci, which is inserted into the Etruscan Coast, are also rich in archeology and history, as evidenced by the vast Etruscan archaeological park of Baratti-Populonia and numerous museums that are rich in Etruscan, Roman and Villanovian finds Rosignano Marittimo, Cecina and Piombino.
Particularly interesting is the Parco archeo – Mining of San Silvestro in Venturina, a veritable open-air museum where, thanks to organized routes, the various stages of metal working from the Etruscans to the Middle Ages can be reconstructed. A clear sea whose colors range from emerald green to deep blue and have been awarded the Blue Flags of the European Union, laps the coastline of Castagneto Carducci and many neighboring villages. Particularly fascinating is the dark beach of Marina di Castagneto and the famous white beach of San Vincenzo.
For lovers of the wild and unspoiled sea, you should not miss the windswept cliffs of Bibbona and Cecina, whose depths are particularly deep and full of fish and are suitable for those who love diving in apnea or diving bottles.
